Wex Moves Chair Yoga
Last week at lunch WexMoves held a Chair Yoga session that was accessible for all. With Ms. Mehra-Laurent leading, all participants had an opportunity to cleanse their mind and nurture their soul.
"I'm not sure if I liked chair yoga, or LOVED chair yoga!" one student noted after the session.
"It is really relaxing to turn off my phone and all social media and connect with myself at school," added another student.
Wex Moves is a wellness and movement club promoting the benefits of yoga and dance by Ms. Aquino and Ms. Mehra-Laurent. Students, teachers and staff are all welcome. Many participants have expressed their contentment with this club's offerings to promote exercise and well-being during / inside the school day.
Wex Moves meets every Wednesday in the upper dance studio.

To kick off Spirit Week, on October 24 Wexford students were treated to a Spirit Assembly in the Dr. S.D. Rendall Auditorium. The 2016-2017 Student Activity Council (SAC) was introduced; as well, student clubs such as WexWellness made presentations.
Mr. Lyne also congratulated one of our students for his performance in the World Indoor Skydiving Championships held in Warsaw, Poland.
Last but not least, Wexford's Performing Arts put on some numbers including "500 Miles" and the rendition of the Wexford school song.
