Computers

Technology can vastly improve the quality of our daily lives, but, it can also have undesirable consequences. Our modern information age requires that people interact with technology in some way every day. Technology impacts our decisions so much in the areas of school, career, home, personal affairs, and government, that technological literacy has been called the new basic in education. Technological literacy is the ability to interact successfully with technology, to assess the impact of technology on everyday life and make appropriate decisions, and to apply conceptual knowledge to solve problems. Technological Education is a comprehensive, hands-on, experience-based educational program designed to develop a population that is knowledgeable about technology, its evolution, systems, techniques, utilization, and social and cultural significance.

The Technological Education program at Wexford offers all students, male and female, an opportunity to complement their education, to develop skills for post-secondary education or to concentrate on specific programs in preparation for employment.
